Session & patterns

Quick steps

  1. Switch to the Session tab for clip slots per track/scene — launch clips while the transport runs.
  2. Use Channel Rack + Pattern editor for FL-style step grids.
  3. Place pattern clips on the timeline — they expand into MIDI at playback via the pattern scheduler.
  4. Open View → Section Playlist to play arrangement markers in song-structure order.

Details

Hybrid workflows combine timeline arrangement with launcher-style playback:

  • Session tab — clip launcher grid aligned to tracks and scenes; scene columns launch every track at once.
  • Launch modes — Trigger, Gate, Toggle, Repeat; launch quantize snaps starts to the beat grid.
  • Hybrid mode — plays the timeline arrangement while session clips overdub on top.
  • Channel Rack — overview of pattern channels with per-channel mute and pattern selection.
  • Step sequencer — edit steps per channel; change pattern length and step count in the pattern toolbar.

Patterns are shared objects — one pattern can drive multiple instrument tracks through channel routing.
